Photography Experience Overview

Join Janette on this very special photography safari to Mara North Conservancy where we will spend our days photographing lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, maasai giraffe, zebras and all manner of species found in this private wilderness of almost 68,000 acres.

Photography Experience In Detail

We will spend 10 nights in our safari camp with a flexible approach to our safaris each day. Each day begins with tea and biscuits in your room before we leave early for our first safari of the day. We have breakfast in the bush returning to our safari camp for lunch and a break before we depart for our afternoon safari (after tea and cake!) before returning for our evening meal. We will also have exclusive use of a specially designed photographers jeep so we can try and get the lowest angles possible for some fabulous images.

This is the normal routine BUT it is extremely flexible so if we find something that we wish to stay with and photograph we can. We may stay out all day so that we do not miss a great photographic opportunity. If this happens you will not go hungry! We will send out for food for us to eat in the field!!

All in all we will have 9 full days on safari plus an afternoon safari on our first day and a mornings safari on our last day. We need to fly to Nairobi and stay overnight in Nairobi before transferring to Wilson Airport for our SafariLink flight to the Mara North Airstrip. We are met at the airstrip and transferred to our camp before our first safari of our trip in the afternoon.

Each day we are likely to see something different and the area provides great opportunities for photography. The landscape is stunning and wildlife is abundant including big cats. The Conservancy itself is an extremely well managed one so you will experience an exclusive safari with minimum impact on the environment.

The vision of the conservancy is to be a world class conservancy with a long term commitment to benefit the environment , wildlife and community livelihoods through a strong tourism partnership. I am pleased to say that they truly care for the area which sits on the North Western Zone of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. it is an absolute joy to watch and photograph nature in its environment with the full knowledge that it and man are protected.
